Our Teams at the Western Macedonia Regional Robotics Competition 2026

NEXUS Innovation proudly participated in the 12th Regional Educational Robotics – STEM Competition of Western Macedonia, which took place in Kozani on Sunday, 29 March 2026. The competition brought together 30 teams from kindergartens, primary schools, and lower secondary schools, focusing this year on the theme of Artificial Intelligence.

Our teams had a strong presence in different categories of the competition, presenting their work, testing their ideas, and demonstrating their skills in robotics, automation, programming, and problem-solving. Their participation reflected the systematic preparation, creativity, and teamwork that are at the core of NEXUS Innovation’s educational activities.

In the A’–D’ Primary School category, the team NEXUS A’ received the Best Automation Award and qualified for the National Final in Athens. The team consisted of the students Anastasia Ellinidou, Christos Papapetrou, Emmeleia Papagianni, Xenia Papagianni, Filippos Sapardanis, Evangelos Kianas, and Paraskevi Papapetrou.

In the Open Lower Secondary School category, the team NEXUS B’ won 2nd place and also qualified for the National Final in Athens. The participating students were Christos Oikonomou, Aimilios Stefanidis, Athena Konstantinidi, and Konstantinos Politidis.

NEXUS Innovation also achieved important distinctions in the Regular Lower Secondary School category. The team NI Robohopes SG, with students Giorgos Papagiannis and Stavros Ellinidis, won 1st place and qualified for the National Final. The team NI Robohopes NGB, with students Giorgos Ellinidis, Nikos Iliadis, and Evangelos Kyrkos, won 2nd place and qualified as well. The team NI Robohopes KG, with students Konstantinos Konstantinidis and Giorgos Mandelis, won 3rd place, securing its own qualification for the National Final in Athens.

These results are a meaningful recognition of the students’ effort, persistence, and collaboration. They also highlight the value of educational robotics as a field where children and teenagers can develop practical STEM skills, computational thinking, creativity, and confidence.

We warmly congratulate all participating students and their coaches for their dedication and commitment. We are especially proud that NEXUS Innovation will be represented by several teams at the National Educational Robotics Competition, contributing to the growing educational robotics community of Western Macedonia.
