A free mobile/tablet application for Augmented Reality in education. It enables students, teachers, and general users to explore textbook pages enhanced with 3D objects, videos, and interactive digital elements. Developed in Greece for Greek school textbooks (currently available for Informatics and Geography).
You simply open the app, select the “Camera AR” mode, and point your device at a page of a supported school textbook. The app then overlays digital content, such as rotating 3D models, educational videos, or audio, directly onto the printed page. This combined physical and digital interaction enriches the learning process: students can view three-dimensional versions of monuments or scientific mechanisms, enlarge and inspect them, or watch explanatory videos, making abstract or static textbook content far more dynamic and engaging.
the app is completely free for users and compatible with both tablets and smartphones. Already released versions cover specific school courses, and further expansions (e.g., for History, Physics, Mathematics) are planned.
We believe meaningful learning happens when people connect, explore and create together. NEXUS brings people, places and ideas together to experiment, learn from one another and turn real-world challenges into opportunities for learning and action.
